The marital crisis between Kumawood actor and comedian Oteele and his wife, Gifty Afriyie, appears to be heading towards a possible resolution after the latter announced that she has forgiven her husband and would return home.
Gifty Afriyie’s announcement comes after the couple reportedly went through a difficult period following the circulation of an alleged intimate video involving Oteele and another woman.
The controversy had reportedly contributed to their separation, with Oteele making emotional appeals to his wife to return to their marital home.

In previous reports, Gifty Afriyie had confirmed that she and Oteele were currently separated, while the actor continued to express his desire to restore their relationship.
However, speaking during a TikTok Live session with Oteele on Tuesday, September6 15, 2026, Gifty Afriyie delivered what could be described as positive news for their marriage.
The wife of the popular actor announced that she had forgiven him and planned to return home later this week.
According to her, she still loves her husband despite the difficulties they have encountered, acknowledging that human beings make mistakes.
“You’ve gone through a lot. I still love you. I understand we’re human and we make mistakes. If not for anything, what a man who has offended his wife would do is what you’ve done,” she said.
Gifty Afriyie further pleaded with God to use the challenges Oteele had experienced during the controversy to bring about a positive change in his life.
“I’m pleading with God that with the things you’ve gone through over this issue, may He use that to change you,” she stated.
Describing Oteele as her soulmate, she explained that she could not stand by and watch him suffer, stressing that she wanted to see him overcome the challenges.
“You’re my soulmate, and I can’t watch you get wasted. I’ve forgiven you, and I will return home this week,” Gifty Afriyie added.
