Arsenal fans and Chelsea fans on X (formerly Twitter) are engaged in a heated debate over which one of Thomas Partey and Moises Caicedo had a better game when the two clubs clashed in a Premier League match on Sunday, October 10, 2024.

A video of Thomas Partey getting one over Caicedo with a dummy move has become the point of reference for Arsenal fans who believe that the Ghanaian had a better game than the Ecuadorian.

Chelsea fans also counter that argument with a clip where Caicedo successfully rode a challenge from Thomas Partey and created an opportunity.

In terms of statistics, Thomas Partey completed 57 of 63 passes with a 90% accuracy. He made four accurate long balls and was dispossessed zero times.

In defence, Partey completed two clearances, and one interception, made two recoveries, and won two ground duels.

Caicedo, on the other hand, completed 95% of his passes, made six accurate long balls, and made nine passes into the final third.

Defensively, Caicedo was integral for Chelsea, winning three tackles, making one interception and one clearance. The Ecuadorian made eight recoveries for the Blues.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw and has seen Chelsea go into the international break with 19 points from ten matches. The Blues are ranked third on the league table.

Fourth-placed Arsenal have the same points as Chelsea but with an inferior goal difference. Chelsea have a goal difference of plus eight, while Arsenal have a goal difference of plus two.
