Legendary Ghanaian musician turned entrepreneur, Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah, popularly known as Tic Tac (now Tic), has finally opened up about the reason behind the grand, star-studded birthday party he threw for his wife, Awura Abena Serwaa Ampaafe, on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

In an exclusive chat with renowned blogger Zionfelix after the lavish celebration, Tic revealed that the main reason for organizing such a private yet luxurious event was to celebrate his wife for the struggles she endured last year.

According to the Kwani Kwani hitmaker, 2024 was an incredibly tough year for his wife, who battled severe health challenges.

He disclosed that at a point, her condition became life-threatening, and she nearly lost her life.

“Last year was one of the hardest years for my wife and me. She was seriously ill, and there were moments when I thought I was going to lose her,” Tic disclosed.

He further explained that after witnessing everything his wife went through, he felt it was only right to organize a special birthday party to show his gratitude for her life.

“After all she survived, I knew I had to do something special. This wasn’t just about a birthday; it was about celebrating another chance at life,” he added.

The rapper’s decision to throw the grand all-white party at his luxurious mansion in Weija is one most people are currently talkikg about.

The event saw the presence of several high-profile Ghanaian celebrities, including Reggie Rockstone, Nana Ama McBrown, Nero X, Keche Joshua, Blakofee, and Article Wan.
