A former Ghanaian actor, now serving as a police officer in the United States, has opened up about his decision to abandon his flourishing career in the movie industry and relocate abroad for a better life.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Poleeno of Poleeno Multimedia, the actor, who is known in private life as Nana Boakye and popularly called Otumfour Nana, shared harrowing details about his struggles in Ghana and how his journey to the USA marked a turning point in his life.

According to him, one of the main reasons he quit acting was a chilling encounter with renowned Ghanaian preacher, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour.

He recounted how they worked on a movie based on the life of Opambour, which inadvertently led to a series of unfortunate events.

He added that Opambour cursed him and the thoughts of the curse getting him got him to run away from Ghana.

He also added that his decision to move to the United States was fueled by a desire for a fresh start.
