Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface completed his medical test with Werder Bremen on a season long loan deal for the 2025/2026 season on the transfer deadline day.

Boniface’s move to Bremen comes after his high profile transfer to AC Milan failed due to concerns over his fitness, especially his reoccurring knee injuries.

Despite the striker’s failed loan move to Milan, Werder Bremen, considered as relegation candidates swooped in to sign the Nigerian striker on a season long loan.

Boniface who joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 scored 32 goals in 61 appearances, is poised to revive his form and secure regular playing time.

He was also part of the legendary Leverkusen team that won the 2023/2024 Bundesliga title after ending the season without a single defeat.
