    As the video of a student assaulting a lecturer continues to circulate online, and with the release of the student’s statement accusing the lecturer of sexually assaulting her, many people have spoken in defense of the lecturer.

    Apart from netizens who saw the video of the incident and concluded that the student was completely at fault, his sister and one of his Ex-Students have shed more light on the situation and the lecturer’s character.

    The student @lepatohbad posted a statement to X (Twitter) defending the lecturer, sharing her own experiences with the man;

    She said;

    “I know by now some of you must have seen the video of a female student assaulting a male lecturer because he ‘interrupted’ her TikTok video. But what you don’t know is that the man was my lecturer during my university days at UNIZIK. Dr. Chukwudi is one of a kind—very easygoing and disciplined. Anyone who knows him can confirm this. It’s truly appalling to hear that a student from another department had the audacity to bite him, tear his clothes, and insult him.”

    The man’s sister also defended his character in an interview with Daddy Freeze. She claimed that when he had informed her of the incident, he had done so without malice, despite all he had been through.

    She also revealed that the man’s first daughter was also a student at the school, and she was appalled that people online were trying to blame her brother for the incident.

    In her own words;

     “My brother called me as soon as it happened because we are very close.

    He told me that what drew his attention was when he passed and the girl said, “who does he even think he is, even if he’s a lecturer?”

    He came back to see if the girl is his student, and that’s when he noticed that she was making a video. He then asked her to delete it that he doesn’t want his face in any video, and things escalated.

    He was still in shock, he said before he knew what was happening, the girl was all over him, scratching him, she bit him on the arm and drew blood.

    I didn’t even know it was this serious because the way he gifted me was like it was not a big deal, he just told me that a student attacked him.

    My brother is the calmest, most humble person I know. He is someone that will say, “the Holy Spirit said I should let it go”.

    So it’s very painful to come online and see all the comments against my brother, most people trying to defend the girl, most people saying that who knows if he has something to do with her.

    I mean his wife is a Magistrate for God’s sake…”
