The University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC) was the crowned winners of this year’s Commonwealth Day National Debate under the theme “Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth.

UniMAC was represented by Titus Owusu Darko and Precious Agrobesa Akos, who put up a strong showing to wrestle the title and bragging rights from the competing universities.

The competition, which was held in Parliament, featured students from six universities, namely Central University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University for Development Studies, University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, University of Media Arts and Communication, and the University of Ghana.

The debate highlighted the role of young people in fostering collaboration and shared prosperity across the Commonwealth of Nations.
