Omari Jones dominated Christian Gomez over eight one-sided rounds. The super welterweight prospect went the distance for the second straight time after starting his career with four consecutive knockouts. Jones said he wanted to “stick to the game plan. This was my best performance yet.” Jones moves to 6-0, 4 KOs. Gomez falls to 23-7-1, 21 KOs.

Former lightweight sparring partners Corey Marksman and Jaycob Gomez battled it out for ten full rounds. The southpaw stance of Gomez was no problem for Marksman, who was able to be first and land more throughout the fight. Credit to Gomez and his chin for withstanding the heavy hands of Marksman on several occasions. The judges saw it 98-92 twice and 96-94, all for Marksman, the new WBA Continental Americas lightweight champion. Marksman moves to 13-0-1, 9 KOs, while Gomez suffers his first loss, falling to 14-1-1, 8 KOs.

Australian heavyweight wrecking machine Teremoana Teremoana took most of the first round to land a solid shot against Curtis Harper. When he did, Harper was down and out courtesy of a piledriver right to the temple. The time was 2:59 of the first round. Teremoana improves to 10-0, 10 KOs (8 in the first round). Harper falls to 19-13, 13 KOs. Harper might be remembered for his 2018 “non-fight” against heavyweight contender Efe Ajagba, when he exited the ring as soon as the opening bell sounded. Harper cited contractual and financial issues for his sudden exit that night.
