Ghana head coach Otto Addo has registered his third draw in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series, as the Black Stars’ failure to qualify was confirmed on Friday night.

The draw came after a 1-1 result against Angola in their penultimate match at the 11th November Stadium in Luanda.

A win would have left the final qualifying spot from Group F to be decided on the last day of the campaign.

The Black Stars’ first draw in the qualifiers was against Niger, a 1-1 scoreline in the second round in Morocco back in September, followed by a goalless draw against Sudan at home in October.

Ghana now sits at the bottom of the group with three points from four games, having suffered two defeats and three drawn matches.

Ghana needed to beat Angola and win their final game against Niger on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium, following a shock 4-0 victory for Nigeria over Sudan, who only needed a point to qualify.

However, the game against Niger no longer holds any significance for Ghana.

This will be the first time in 21 years that Ghana will miss out on the Africa Cup of Nations.
