Now Japan is a season of upset games. Unheralded JBC#2 Shori Umezu (13-1-2, 9 KOs), 117.75, impressively acquired the vacant Japanese bantamweight belt (renounced by world rated Riku Masuda) when he caught up with JBC#1, ex-WBO AP champ Tetsuro Ohashi (14-5-1, 4 KOs), 118, connected with numerous punches pinning him to the ropes and scored a stunning TKO victory at 1:54 of the fourth round in a scheduled ten on Saturday in Osaka, Japan.

Umezu, handled by ex-OPBF 130lb champ Yamato Mitani, awkwardly applied the pressure to the southpaw local favorite and finally caught him with a fusillade of punches to have him carried out on a stretcher.

    Promoter: Shinsei Promotions.
