The country leading Black Sherif’s streams on Digital Service Providers (DSP) among all the countries is the United Kingdom, according to the musician.

In an interview on Angel FM, Black Sherif explained that data from his backend shows the UK leading all countries streaming his songs.

He noted that the last time he checked his analytics, fans in the UK were at the top of the list, consistently keeping his music in rotation.

“The last time I checked, it was UK,” Black Sherif said.

According to him, the connection he enjoys with UK listeners is tied to the way he crafts his music. He explained that his storytelling style, descriptions, and the way he presents his ideas allow listeners to visualise his messages and feel closer to the emotions in his songs.

“The reason people feel connected to my music is because of the things I say, the way I describe moments, and how I present my ideas. When I’m writing, I imagine the song as a movie first, then I use my words to help you visualise it,” he said.

To further explain his creative process, Black Sherif used “Soma Obi” from his “Iron Boy” album as an example.

He shared that he intentionally made the song to sound like a conversation. He noted that this approach allows the music to communicate directly with listeners, especially because he cannot physically enter people’s homes to speak to them.

“Take a song like Soma Obi, I know what message I want to share, but I don’t want to say it too raw. So, I use my voice to express it in a conversational way. I can’t walk into people’s homes to talk to them, so the song does the talking for me,” he added.
