Stonebwoy has addressed recent claims accusing UK-based event organisers, Alodia and Dennis, of sabotaging his planned Independence Day show in London.

Speaking on Hitz FM on March 5, 2025, Ashis disclosed that Stonebwoy called him to clarify that he never made any allegations of sabotage and that he has no problem with the organisers.

According to Ashis, Stonebwoy said the organisers even offered him a collaboration opportunity, but he prefers to stay true to his own vision.

“I was called by Stonebwoy and he explained a few things to me. And what he actually said is; he is not in competition with anybody. He’s not fighting Dennis or Alodia. He respects them so much.

“He said they even offered him a chance to collaborate with them but he has a different plan. So, he wants to stay true to what he is doing. That’s why he chose to do his own concert. He doesn’t see why he is being attacked for saying he was sabotaged. Or maybe his manager didn’t put the word well on the radio. But he didn’t say anything about sabotage. No, he wants them to do their own. And he’s also doing his own,” he said.

Stonebwoy further expressed commitment to his craft, stating that he would perform on the day of the concert, regardless of the attendance.

“He said, ‘even if 10 people come, the show is sold out to me. It doesn’t matter how people see it. But I think I’ve done my best. I’m not in, you know, trying to rationalise things with anybody.’

“And I was like, okay, it makes sense because I was of the view that he was crying awoof,” he added.

Ashis urged Ghanaians to avoid causing conflicts over the issue and instead support all artistes and industry professionals.

    What happened?

Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz, in an earlier interview accused UK event organisers, including Akwaaba UK, of attempting to sabotage the musician’s upcoming album tour on March 8, 2025.

Chief Stylz claimed that his team announced their tour date in October 2024, only to later discover that Akwaaba UK had scheduled an Independence concert on the same day.

He alleged that this move was orchestrated to cast Stonebwoy in a negative light.

In response, Dennis Tawiah, the CEO of Akwaaba UK, refuted the allegations of sabotage.

He asserted that his team booked the March 8 date long before Stonebwoy’s announcement.

He challenged Chief Stylz’s claims, threatening to publicly disclose conversations between the two camps to prove his point.

    What Ashis earlier said

In the midst of the dispute, Nana Poku Ashis advised Stonebwoy and his management to focus on promoting their upcoming show rather than engaging in an unnecessary rivalry with Dennis and Alordia.
