Two men have drowned and a woman has been rushed to hospital after their boat capsized.

Emergency services were called to a beach near Point Connor south of Beachport on South Australia‘s Limestone Coast  on Monday morning after reports that a boat had capsized and three people were unresponsive on shore.

It was earlier reported that two men were missing in the water, while the woman managed to swim to the shore.

Two men aged 82 and 69 were unable to be revived at the scene while a woman, 59 was taken to hospital.

The trio were from the nearby town of Millicent.

‘Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing with the assistance of the Water Operations Unit,’ a police statement read.

    ‘There are no suspicious circumstances.’

The tragedy takes Australia’s summer drowning toll to 41 since December 1.

Meanwhile, the search for a swimmer feared missing at an Adelaide beach has been called off.

Authorities launched a major search at Henley Beach on Monday afternoon after a beachgoer reported seeing a swimmer in distress in the water.

The three hour operation involved Surf Life Saving SA, ATVs, Polair and drones.

‘After extensive searching of the water and beach, there have been no further sightings and no reports of anyone missing or other information has been received,’  a police statement later read.
