The just-ended 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) has become the talk of the town, with music lovers and entertainment critics sharing their opinions across social media platforms.
From the glitz of the red carpet to the live performances, every aspect of the show has been scrutinised.
While several artistes delivered electrifying performances that thrilled fans, a few moments fell flat, and those are exactly what has kept social media buzzing.
This article points out two performances that, unfortunately, missed the mark and sparked online conversation.
Kweku Smoke
Rapper Kweku Smoke, also known as the “Street Jesus,” made a creative grand entrance that initially captured the audience’s attention. However, technical difficulties overshadowed what could have been a standout moment.
Throughout his performance, there were syncing issues between his vocals and the backing track, leading to a disjointed experience.
The sound setup also affected his breath control, and to make matters worse, his microphone went off mid-performance while performing his hit song “Young Boy,” making it difficult for the audience to connect with his delivery.
Despite the setbacks, many applauded his creativity and stage concept, suggesting that with better technical support, the performance could have been a highlight of the night.
Although Beeztrap KOTM and Kweku Smoke faced challenges, several other artistes lit up the TGMA stage with crowd-pleasing performances.
Notable of them are Stonebwoy, Maame Tiwa, Fameye, KiDi, and more, who had audiences on their feet throughout the night.
Beeztrap KOTM
Emerging artiste Beeztrap KOTM took to the TGMA stage with a burst of energy, delivering a live rendition of his hit single “Yesu” alongside a live band.
While his enthusiasm and stage presence were commendable, his performance suffered due to issues with timing and pitch.
Many viewers noted that Beeztrap went offbeat multiple times during the performance, which affected the overall coordination between his vocals and the live instrumentation.
Despite the missteps, fans acknowledged his attempt to experiment with a live band, a bold move for an up-and-coming artist.
