    A tragic bus accident on Aseseeso Hill, between Adukrom and Somanya, has claimed the lives of two individuals, with several others sustaining injuries.

    The victims were students from Ben Kunadu SDA Basic School in the Asante Akyem Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

    Accident Details

    ๐Ÿš The bus (GV 83-22) belonged to Collins Senior High School, Asante Agogo.

    โš ๏ธ The driver lost control while descending the steep hill, causing the vehicle to somersault multiple times before landing on its side.

    ๐ŸŽ’ The students were traveling to Akosombo for an excursion when the crash occurred.

    Rescue Efforts & Medical Response

    ๐Ÿš‘ Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey, helped in the rescue operation and assisted in transporting injured students to Yilo Krobo Municipal Hospital.

    ๐Ÿฅ Medical Update:

    โœ” Two critical cases referred to Eastern Regional Hospital for specialized treatment.

    โœ” 31 to 35 students are receiving treatment at Yilo Krobo & Atua Government Hospitals.

    โŒ Casualties: A 65-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

    Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash while ensuring that the injured receive the best possible care.
