The prestigious awards, themed “Shake the Floor,” celebrate the creativity, influence, and excellence of Ghanaian DJs across the nation. DJ Barnes’ nomination highlights his growing impact within the Central Region and his vibrant contributions as one of the leading DJs on TW Radio 88.9, known for bringing energy and style to every show he hosts.
Renowned for his electric mixes that fuse Afrobeat, Amapiano, Dancehall, and Highlife, DJ Barnes has continued to thrill audiences both on-air and at live events across Cape Coast and beyond. His ability to connect with listeners and keep crowds moving has made him one of the standout young talents in the region’s entertainment space.
The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards 2025 will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra. The event will bring together Ghana’s top DJs, producers, and music industry stakeholders for an unforgettable night of celebration.
The Ghana DJ Awards was created to celebrate and appreciate the talents of Disc Jockeys (DJs), as well as to foster the development of the Ghana music industry by rewarding and celebrating Radio, Mobile and Club Disc Jockeys who have excelled in their fields of endeavor. It is, actually, the only national award scheme in Africa that appreciates and celebrates DJs for their work. It is also a platform that rewards veteran DJs who have blazed the trail in the music industry over the years.
The main objective is to recognize the electronic dance music scene, and seeks to let the world know that the art of DJ’ing is a respected craft, with DJs playing a major role in the overall Music and Entertainment industry. Since 2013, Ghana DJ Awards Festival has consistently remained one of the premier music festivals in Africa, welcoming thousands of concertgoers every year. Preceded by a nationwide roadshow featuring over 100 DJs annually known as Pub Fest, a DJ Cypher and a nominees jam, Ghana DJ Awards Festival Festival grows bigger and more thrilling each year.
