Kicking off a dynamic new era of sports and media partnership in the Central Region, TW Radio 88.9 has officially partnered with Elmina Sharks Football Club. The partnership is expected to strengthen community engagement, promote local talent, and boost the visibility of Ghanaian football.
The collaboration will see TW Radio 88.9, a fast-rising urban and community-centered station, provide extensive media coverage, live match updates, interviews, and fan-centered programs to highlight the activities of Elmina Sharks FC. The goal is to give supporters an even closer connection to their team, while also extending the club’s presence across the region and beyond.
Elmina Sharks FC, popularly known as the “Fearsome Sharks,” welcomed the partnership, emphasizing that it would create stronger bonds between the club, the community and more opportunities with TW Radio 88.9’s growing influence and creative approach to broadcasting. The club believes this collaboration will inspire fans, attract new supporters, and bring a renewed energy to the game-day experience and beyond.

Elmina Sharks is a professional football (soccer) club based in Elmina, Ghana. It was formed in September 1999. The team was formerly know as coconut Grove Sharks before its name was changed to Elmina Sharks FC in 2010. known for playing in the Ghana Premier League/ Division One League and other national competitions. The team gained promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 2016 till 2022. The team currently plays in the Access Bank Division One League Zone 2. The team plays its home matches at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina, Ghana.
