Tulisa Contostavlos’ former best friend and personal assistant has insisted that he does not know what is ‘going on’ with her and has not spoken to her in more than a year.
Gareth Varey was previously close to the NDubz singer in both a personal and professional capacity and even once lived with her.
Following reports that she has fallen out with other members of her inner circle after leaving I’m a Celebrity, he told MailOnline: ‘I don’t know what’s going on with her.
‘I haven’t seen or spoken to her for 14 months. We did the NDubz tour together and when that finished we went our separate ways. We wanted to do our own thing and I’ve not seen her since.’
He added: ‘We were close but that was in the past.’
Tulisa reportedly fell out with her best friends after becoming the third star to be voted off I’m A Celebrity, having a ‘huge bust-up’ in the hotel over ‘inappropriate’ content they posted on her Instagram.

Following this, MailOnline revealed that Tulisa has also fallen out with her best friend and personal assistant of 15 years, Gareth.
A source said: ‘Tulisa and Gareth have been inseparable for years, he would most certainly been the one to meet her from the bridge but they had a fall out not long before she went into the jungle.
‘They were so close.’
The pair met when Gareth was a backup dancer on NDubz’s 2009 Uncle B tour and they quickly struck up a close bond becoming ‘like brother and sister’ and even living together.
Sources close to Gareth say he would do ‘everything’ for Tulisa, from setting up paparazzi pictures for her to helping her organise her diary.
He was also a regular at the X Factor ‘s Fountain Studios when the singer was a judge in 2011 and 2012.
Gareth also lived with Tulisa at her £4millon mock Tudor mansion in Hertfordshire which she bought while starring on the reality show.
Tulisa, 36, even included a chapter about Gareth in her 2012 biography, Honest, and wrote: ‘We are friends for life. There were times when we both sat crying in each other’s arms, I’ve never had that with anyone before.
‘And pretty soon it was obvious this was more than just a passing or a faddy friendship, we were two peas in a pod.

Tulisa recently took to social media following claims that she had a row with her best pal Michelle McKenna over the social media posts she’d shared during her time in the jungle
‘Gareth automatically slipped into a motherly role, worrying about me all the time and showing real concern if ever I was upset or sad. It’s the reason I made him my PA, we adored one another, I was chuffed to bits when he took the job.’
‘From the night we met onwards, we have been virtually inseparable.’
A year after meeting, Tulisa bought her first house, a £550,000 mansion in Watford, and wanted Gareth to move in after she explained: ‘It was a natural progression, we were always together.’
The friends got into hot water in 2014, when the celebrity blogger Savvas Morgan accused Tulisa of punching him during a heated row backstage at the Essex music festival, V Fest, and Gareth of using intimidating behaviour during the incident.
Gareth was cleared of his charges but Tulisa was found guilty of assault and fined £3,020, and lost her appeal a year later after vehemently denying the accusation.
But after 15 years of an ‘inseparable’ and long-lasting friendship, Gareth and Tulisa have fallen out.
Tulisa was instead met off the I’m A Celebrity bridge on Monday night by her childhood best friend, Michelle McKenna, and her boyfriend, Daniel Johnson, who she has also since fallen out with.
Tulisa, who was visibly surprised when she became the third celebrity to be voted out of the Jungle, had a huge row with the couple the night she got out and has not been seen since.

A friend said that she felt it was ‘inappropriate’ and will no doubt be struggling without the support of her best friend and confidant, Gareth.

‘They were only in Australia because of Tulisa,’ explained the source. ‘It felt like they were revelling in the situation and taking liberties with her kindness.
‘Michelle and Daniel were there, on a trip funded by ITV and only because of Tulisa. They were there because of her and she trusted them with her social media.
‘When she got out of the jungle and saw what had been put on there, she was upset and it prompted a huge row. You can’t help but think that seeing her friends living it up like that while she was roughing it in the jungle must have really annoyed her.
‘They were in a five-star hotel, with most expenses paid, so it does all feel a little bit rotten for Tulisa,’ they added.
‘She is so upset. She was distraught to see what had been posted and she wanted to get rid of it as quickly as possible.’
