Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu has reacted to AS Monaco’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the French Super Cup.

The Red and White lost 1-0 in the Cup match following a last-gasp strike from French forward Ousmane Dembele in the game played at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar.

The Black Stars centre-back played full throttle and defended resolutely as Monaco remained in the game for most of the match.

However, a cross from the left evaded all the Monaco defenders, falling right at the World Cup winner’s foot as he rolled it into the net.

“Trust the process; you’re doing great!! It’s part of the game. Lord knows.” posted Salisu after the match.

The highly-rated defender has been in the Middle East since the break in the French Ligue 1 for the winter holidays.

The former Southampton and Real Valladolid star will return to France with his teammates on Friday’s Ligue 1 game against FC Nantes.

Salisu has made 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring a goal for Monaco this season.
