Donald Trump‘s recreation of his viral Halloween moment from 2019 has impressed fans on social media.
The president was joined by wife Melania to hand out candy at the White House on Thursday when he repeated the hilarious candy gag.
Eagle-eyed fans noted that Trump played the same trick during his first term six years ago when he placed a piece of candy on top of a kid dressed as a Minion from the hit movie, Despicable Me.
Trump was seen playfully welcoming the child who was dressed as DJ Marshmello before placing the chocolate bar on his head.
The youngster took the joke in good spirit and walked with the candy balancing on top of his glowing costume.
‘Currently monitoring the trick or treating situation at the White House to see if Trump puts candy on top of a minion’s head again. He f***ing did it again,’ one user tweeted.
‘Guess some traditions never die not even on Halloween! Trump’s still out here tricking more than treating,’ another commenter joked.
‘President Trump just REPEATED his ICONIC 2019 Halloween move—placing a candy bar on a kid’s head at the White House trick-or-treat party! Pure MAGA magic! Classic Trump — keeping traditions alive!’ a third wrote.

Trump joined the first lady on the White House lawn to pass out candy in an annual presidential tradition
‘BREAKING: President Trump DOES IT AGAIN! He just recreated the time he placed a candy bar on a kid’s head for Halloween 6 years ago. We are SO BACK!’
The White House holds an annual Halloween event every year, a tradition dating back to President Dwight Eisenhower’s term in 1958.
Trick-or-treaters first flooded the White House lawn when President John F. Kennedy assumed office, since the president had young children at the time.
Decades later, the tradition has continued and is a cherished event among first families and staffers.
The Trumps decided not to dress in costume for Thursday’s celebration, with Trump wearing his signature red ‘USA’ hat and Melania sporting a long brown belted coat.
They waltzed onto the lawn from the White House’s southern entrance while Michael Jackson’s Thriller played in the background.
The First Lady announced the event’s plans last week, detailing that the White House lawn would be open to trick-or-treaters from 4:00 pm. to 8:30 pm.
Attendees required a ticket to enter, and the event was open to military families, law enforcement families, children in foster or adoptive homes, and administrative officials.
Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and his wife, Katie, were at the front of the line with their three children.
Miller attempted to wrangle his young son, who was dressed as a ghost, to meet the president.
Following Miller’s family was Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, accompanied by her husband and their young child, dressed as a pumpkin.
The Halloween event followed Trump’s five-day trip to Asia, where he met with world leaders.
