In a stunning U-turn, President Donald Trump is reviving both of his cancelled rallies in Kansas and Iowa this Sunday, the White House confirms to the Daily Mail.
‘Rallies are back on! President Trump loves his supporters, and in addition to nearly 20 tele-rallies, he will hold back-to-back rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Sunday,’ the White House said in a statement.
A White House spokesperson says the rallies were reportedly arranged for scheduling purposes to ‘accommodate dozens of additional tele-rallies that were recently added to the President’s schedule.’
The final stretch of campaign stops are all part of Trump’s midterm blitz where Trump planned to travel to 35 locations to try and boost Republican turnout.
The President abruptly pulled the plug on the scheduled weekend events even as recent polling points to tight races in both states.
The Republican National Committee issued a Thursday statement confirming the prior cancellation of Trump’s planned Saturday appearance alongside Senator Roger Marshall in Kansas, as well as a Sunday event backing Iowa Republican Senate candidate Ashley Hinson.
Official RNC messaging insisted the rallies were scrubbed because GOP contenders are positioned strongly enough to win without additional presidential backing – a claim at odds with mounting surveys showing the party’s control of Congress remains under serious threat.

When asked by a reporter on Thursday why he suddenly cancelled his original campaign rally in Kansas, and if it was because he was sick of traveling, Trump in turn called the question ‘sick.’
‘Oh you’re sick to ask that question. You are sick,’ Trump told the Reuters reporter. ‘Look at this guy. He’s way out of shape,’ Trump said, claiming he wasn’t going to Kansas because Marshall is ‘doing very well.’
‘You know what the reason is? I don’t feel I have to go to Kansas. I’m going to Florida tomorrow,’ Trump said.
‘You’ve been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell.’
Trump is holding a rally in Daytona Beach, Florida today.
