A new documentary chronicling the life and times of President-elect Donald Trump has been released to rave reviews and huge audiences.

‘The Man You Don’t Know’, directed by Christopher Martini, hears from close family members and friends including the likes of Hulk Hogan.

The film, which is available to stream on Trump confidante Elon Musk‘s social media platform X, documents from his childhood up until the present day and was released prior to his election win.

Filmmakers spoke with Donald Trump Jr., Lara Trump, Eric Trump and Kai Trump who laud about their father and grandfather in the 90-minute flick.

It shows his early real estate developer career in building the Trump brand up until recent events including the assassination attempt on him earlier this year in Butler, Pennsylvania.

After a limited theatrical release, it has since been shared on X with the full documentary available and has raked in over 53 million streams.

On review Rotten Tomatoes, it currently has a ‘Popcornmeter’ score of 74 percent, which is based on reviews from regular cinema-goers and not film critics.

Punters have since branded the movie as being a ‘must see’ and praised Martini for his work.

One person wrote: ‘I just watched Christopher Martini’s movie on X and all I can say is WOW!

‘Very well put together documentary of our President. He knocked it out of the park just in time for the election. Great Job Chris!’

Another said: ‘Different perspective on a very public person from those who know him well.’

It has also been endorsed by Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk, a vocal Trump supporter who has since been nominated by Trump to head a new government office.

Posting on the platform earlier this month, Musk said: ‘Worth watching this documentary to understand Donald Trump.’

Kai Trump, Trump’s granddaughter, also posted: ‘It was an honor to be able to support my Grandpa and show everyone the side of him that I know and love.’

According to a synopsis, it is: ‘An inside and exclusive look at the 45th President of the United States as the person and not the persona as portrayed by mainstream media.

‘And as told by those closest to him — his children, grandchildren and closest friends. Goes behind the headlines to reveal personal untold stories that highlight his kindness, generosity, faith and love of family.

‘This is the inside take on Donald Trump from childhood to present day. Not the known world leader and business icon. But the father, grandfather and friend.’

It touches on his relationship with his late ex-wife Ivana Trump and his third marriage to Melania Trump.

But the documentary completely omits to mention his second marriage to Marla Maples, the mother of Trump’s daughter Tiffany.

Ivanka and Melania Trump are not interviewed and appear only in archive footage. Donald Trump himself is also not interviewed, although those closest to him have clearly been given his blessing to speak.

Trump’s new right-hand woman Lara Trump – the wife of his son Eric – appears heavily to sing her father-in-law’s political prowess and laud his personal qualities.

Besides his family and some friends, it also hears from a former NYPD detective, and YouTube personality Kyle Forgeard of the Nelk Boys channel.

Speaking in the film, Hulk Hogan says: ‘He’s a wonderful human being, I’ve known the man for over 35 years.

‘He is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. The way he has been demonized is totally opposite to the way he is.’

Martini, a Trump supporter, later said in a post to social media that his movie was being pulled theaters because it was about Trump.

He claimed that New York and New Jersey cinemas had ‘flat out refused to show it’ and that only two theaters in New Jersey ending up running it.

Martini added: ‘Only parts of California are showing it. This is the sad state of our country where freedom of has been taken away from us.’

He later shared footage of himself going to watch his own movie inside an AMC theater in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
