Trump appeals for Nancy Guthrie’s ‘safe return’ as troubling new details fuel fears over her disappearance: Live updates

By RACHEL BOWMAN, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER

    Updated: 13:33 EST, 3 February 2026

President Trump appealed for the return of Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother as authorities frantically search for her, fearing she may not survive without vital medication.

‘The search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, is ongoing, and authorities are requesting assistance from the public. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911,’ the White House said on X.

‘Our prayers our with the Guthrie family as we hope for Nancy’s safe return home.’

The Daily Mail revealed how Nancy Guthrie, 84, may have been abducted from her home at her $1 million home in Tucson, Arizona, late Saturday or early Sunday, according to police.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos emphasized that the devout mother of three could die without her medication during an interview on Tuesday.

‘It is a race against time, and I hope that window hasn’t closed,’ Nanos said.

Meanwhile, the Today Show host was absent from the anchor’s desk for a second day on Tuesday as the search for her mother continues.

Guthrie made a heartbreaking plea on Monday for fans to keep Nancy in their prayers to help ‘bring her home.’

White House appeals for information in disappearance of Nancy Guthrie as troubling new details are revealed

Donald Trump extended a rare olive branch to Today Show host Savannah Guthrie on social media, with the White House pleading for information in the disappearance of her mother, Nancy.

‘The search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, is ongoing, and authorities are requesting assistance from the public. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911,’ the White House wrote on X.

‘Our prayers are with the Guthrie family as we hope for Nancy’s safe return home.’

Guthrie and Trump have a formal and somewhat tense relationship.

The president called her ‘crazy’ after she hosted a contentious town hall with him in October 2020.

While Guthrie has not publicly stated her political affiliation, her husband, Michael Feldman, is a former Democratic political adviser who served as Al Gore’s traveling chief of staff during Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign.

In the investigation, chilling new details have emerged as law enforcement sources say that ‘blood drops’ were found leading from the entryway of Nancy Guthrie’s house to the driveway.

A doorbell camera she owned was also removed from the house by the time investigators arrived on Sunday.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has put out a plea to the public for neighbors to submit any security footage of their own to help with the investigation.

Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy was dragged from her home and ABDUCTED: Terrifying new crime scene details emerge… as cops hunt mysterious car

Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother was snatched from her bed in the middle of the night, the man leading the investigation told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.

Haunting new details about her disappearance have come to light, with investigators believing that the elderly woman was abducted from her own bed.

Everything we know about about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie

The kidnapping of her 84-year-old mother Nancy has horrified America – and now Savannah Guthrie has been warned that cops face a ‘race against time’ to find her.

The case has thrown up a number of disturbing unanswered questions, which the Daily Mail has detailed below.

Nancy Guthrie does not have medication she needs to survive, Today reveals, after Savannah’s mom vanished from her home

Savannah Guthrie‘s missing mother Nancy does not have medication she needs to survive, worried Today show host Jenna Hager revealed on Monday.

Speaking 36 hours after the 84-year-old’s disappearance from her $1 million home in Tucson, Arizona, Hager said: ‘I know her personally. And we want to just report, too, that she takes daily medication and she needs them for survival.

‘She’s without her medication. We are thinking of our dearest, dearest Savannah and her whole family right now in our prayers.’ The Daily Mail understands that Nancy does not have dementia or suffer from any form of cognitive decline.

Savannah Guthrie’s mother abducted by someone with a ‘deep grievance,’ says former FBI agent

Former FBI agent Nicole Parker told Fox News host Sean Hannity that Savannah Guthrie’s mother was likely abducted by someone with a ‘deep grievance.’

‘I do believe that there is someone with a very deep grievance. I don’t believe this individual that she was abducted from her home, allegedly, they believe she was abducted in her sleep, I don’t believe it was by a stranger,’ she said.

‘I do believe that it was done by somebody who likely knows her very well or the structure of the home.’

Parker speculated that Nancy’s home is vital to the investigation and that law enforcement is being tight-lipped to protect the investigation.

‘This is absolutely heartbreaking, but I do believe the home itself is the crime scene, and that crime scene, there is something about it very strongly driving this investigation,’ she said.

‘Law enforcement has kept that quite confidential and quiet, but there is something they saw that is driving a sense of urgency, and we need her to be returned.

‘There is obviously a lot more to this investigation, and it has to be kept confidential to not compromise it.’

Law enforcement sources say that ‘blood drops’ were found leading from the entryway of Nancy Guthrie’s house to the driveway.

A doorbell camera she owned was also removed from the house by the time investigators arrived on Sunday.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has put out a plea to the public for neighbors to submit any security footage of their own to help with the investigation.
