Tragedy could occur if the late Highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, is buried on December 13, 2025, Prophet Kumchacha has warned.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on November 22, 2025, Kumchacha said the late singer had appeared to him in his dreams at least twice and he saw Daddy Lumba in handcuffs, weeping.

The prophet explained that because of issues surrounding the singer’s burial, he foresees tragedy unfolding from the spiritual realm, which would also affect the physical world if the burial goes ahead on December 13, 2025.

He suggested that the funeral be postponed to around June 2026 instead.

I wish Daddy Lumba’s funeral could be postponed for a year – Kumchacha

“I have had several dreams and as I speak, Daddy Lumba’s spirit is sad. In the spiritual realm, he is in handcuffs and weeping. If they try to bury him on December 13, something tragic will happen spiritually and it will be felt in the physical world as well. They should move the funeral to around the sixth month of next year,” Kumchacha noted.

Kumchacha further revealed that his dreams showed that anyone who obstructs Lumba’s funeral or prevents peace among his family would face dire consequences, as the spirit of Lumba would come for three people after the burial to join him in the graveyard.

“I also saw that Daddy Lumba said anyone who refuses to allow his burial to be held peacefully, and for peace to reign in the family, he will come and take three persons with him to the graveyard,” he added.

Ernestina Fosu, the elder sister of the late musician, has rejected the December 13, 2025 burial date set for Daddy Lumba.

Speaking to the media after court proceedings on November 21, 2025, Ernestina said she would not allow the family, particularly Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu, to hold the funeral on the scheduled date.

“Charles is not a fowl, so two weeks aren’t enough. Therefore, the funeral on December 13, 2025, will not take place… why are we rushing?” she questioned.

Daddy Lumba, who passed away on July 26, 2025, had his burial initially set for December 6, 2025, but the date was later moved to December 13, 2025.

The change was decided during a meeting at the Otumfuo Saamanhene Palace on November 10, 2025, where a new funeral committee, chaired by Dadiesoabahene, was appointed to oversee the arrangements.
