Four people, including two children, have been found dead inside a home in Perth in a suspected murder-suicide.
A person known to the family raised the alarm at about 8.15am after arriving at the Mosman Park home for a pre-arranged visit.
Officers entered the home and discovered the bodies of a 50-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman, and two boys aged 14 and 16, along with a note left at the property.
Detective Acting Inspector Jessica Securo said no weapon was used during the incident and there is no known history of family violence connected to those involved.
She said the two teenage boys had ‘significant health challenges’.
‘At this stage I’m not able to disclose how these persons are deceased,’ she said.
‘However, I do reiterate that there doesn’t appear to be a violent incident that has occurred at the house.
‘Although this investigation is in its infancy, police are investigating this matter as a murder-suicide,’ she said.
‘There is no ongoing risk to the community.
‘What I can advise is that there was no weapon used during this incident, and the family have no reported family violence matters with police.’
Mosman Park is one of Perth’s most expensive suburbs and is surrounded by beaches.
