English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has reignited its interest in signing Ghanaian winger Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.
According to renowned football expert Fabrizio Romano, who announced on X on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Kudus is open to joining Tottenham as he desires to play in the Champions League next season.
The Ghanaian international joined West Ham from Ajax on August 27, 2023, in a five-year deal worth £38 million.
Kudus has been a revelation since his move, and the Hammers are now looking to make a significant profit from his potential sale.
While Kudus has an £85 million release clause that is active only for the first ten days of July, Tottenham is optimistic they can secure his services for a lower fee.
West Ham is reportedly open to cashing in on Kudus as they need funds for a squad rebuild during this summer’s transfer window, particularly to support new manager Graham Potter’s plans.
With West Ham’s mid-table position and need for squad investment, selling Kudus could outweigh the drawbacks of strengthening a rival, allowing the club to effectively reshape the team for a top-half push.
Chelsea and Newcastle are also reportedly among the clubs monitoring Kudus’s situation.
