Tottenham Hotspur are preparing an unprecedented financial proposal for Antoine Semenyo as they attempt to outmanoeuvre Liverpool and Manchester City in January 2026.

The TEAMtalk reports that Spurs are willing to break their established wage structure to make a defining statement of intent for the Bournemouth forward.

The 25-year-old Ghana international has become one of the most sought-after attackers in the Premier League after a prolific spell on the south coast.

His availability has triggered coordinated moves from several elite clubs, with Manchester City and Liverpool already advancing their interest.

City are understood to have moved quickly, converting exploratory discussions into more concrete talks with Semenyo’s representatives.

There is confidence in Manchester that personal terms would not present an obstacle should City decide to trigger the £65 million release clause.

That clause, written into Semenyo’s long-term Bournemouth contract, is active during the early stages of the January window.

Liverpool remain firmly in the race and see Semenyo as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.

Arne Slot is believed to admire the winger’s physical profile, direct running, and capacity to operate across the frontline.

Tottenham, however, are prepared to change the dynamics of the contest entirely.

Under head coach Thomas Frank, Spurs are willing to offer Semenyo a salary package that would place him among the club’s highest earners.

The move is backed by significant financial reinforcement following a £100 million equity injection into ENIC, Tottenham’s majority owners.

That investment has encouraged a more aggressive approach in the market after recent frustrations over missed attacking targets.

Club executives are keen to avoid a repeat of situations where Tottenham agreed fees but lost players on personal terms.
