Daniel Levy has officially left Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that long-serving chairman, Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role after nearly a quarter of a century.
Levy, who became Executive Chairman in 2001, has overseen one of the most transformative eras in the club’s history.
During his tenure, Spurs established themselves as a regular presence in European football, competing in continental competitions in 18 of the last 20 seasons, while also delivering major infrastructure projects such as the state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Hotspur Way training centre.
The North London club also enjoyed a string of high-profile achievements on the pitch, capped by their recent Europa League triumph.
Reflecting on his departure, Levy said: “I am incredibly proud of the work I have done together with the executive team and all our employees. We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community. I was lucky enough to work with some of the greatest people in this sport, from the team at Lilywhite House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers over the years.

“I wish to thank all the fans that have supported me over the years. It hasn’t always been an easy journey but significant progress has been made. I will continue to support this club passionately.”
Levy’s exit comes amid wider changes at Spurs as part of a succession plan already in motion. Vinai Venkatesham has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, with Thomas Frank taking charge of the men’s team and Martin Ho appointed as head coach of the women’s side.
Meanwhile, Peter Charrington has joined the board in the newly created role of Non-Executive Chairman. He will now take on the task of guiding the club into a new chapter.

“This is a new era of leadership for the club, on and off the pitch. I do recognise there has been a lot of change in recent months as we put in place new foundations for the future. We are now fully focused on stability and empowering our talented people across the Club, led by Vinai and his executive team,” Charrington said.
The club has clarified that Levy’s departure will not affect its ownership or shareholder structure.
