WWE may have to do some last-minute tinkering to their WrestleMania card after an apparent injury on SmackDown in Las Vegas.
Several stars set for action this weekend took part in matches at the T-Mobile Arena, although the company has kept top stars like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins out of battles in recent weeks.
However, a six-man tag team match saw one legend carried out by two members of staff and kept off camera after lying on the outside of the ring.
That man is Rey Mysterio, the lunchador legend who was set to take on El Grande Americano, widely believed to be Chad Gable.
Mysterio appeared devastated as he was attended to at ringside
Mysterio spent the majority of the match on the outside of the ring and looks inconsolable as medical staff attended to him.
WWE has spent months building the storyline of Gable trying to take on luchadors and he was set to take on the ultimate one in Mysterio.
Still, the recently debuted and electrifying Rey Fenix seems a natural replacement for the fallen Mysterio, if indeed the injury turns out to be a bad one.
Mysterio is 50. About a decade ago, many thought his days at the highest level was done after a couple of knee surgeries and recurring problems.
However, he has battled back and had a golden winter of his career, notably facing his own son, Dominik, at WrestleMania 39 to great acclaim.
