Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie

As part of rapper Sarkodie’s media run ahead of his Rapperholic concert in the UK, he visited the studio of sports channel ESPN to talk about sports and other matters related to the game.

The rapper answered several sports-related questions and was later asked to mention three top sporting events he would love to perform at. Sarkodie immediately said, “Any boxing event, NBA Playoffs and most definitely World Cup.”

When asked to pick three songs from his catalogue he could listen to before matchday, Sarkodie chose ‘Brag’ from his Championship EP, ‘Homicide’ featuring La Meme Gang, and fan favourite ‘Original.’

The Ghanaian rapper, affectionately known as the “Landlord” of Ghana music, also told ESPN that his favourite sports personalities of all time are Mike Tyson, May Weather and Usain Bolt.

Sarkodie is set to host the UK edition of his flagship concert, Rapperholic, at the Royal Albert Hall on March 6, 2026.

In a monumental feat for Hip-hop in Ghana and across the African continent, Sarkodie officially sold out the Royal Albert Hall before January 17, 2026.

The iconic London venue, which has hosted some of the world’s most prestigious musical legends, will see all over 5,000 seats filled with fans eager to watch the “Landlord” of Ghanaian music.
