A viral video of a bride’s younger brother representing their late father and blessing her at her traditional wedding ceremony has got people talking online.

In the clip, the bride @Mhizdesire443 kneels before her younger brother for prayers while holding a glass of wine.

After going through the marital rites of offering the glass of wine to her husband to drink, the couple is seen in a later clip kneeling for prayers before the bride’s younger brother with other family members affirming the prayers.

According to tradition, the eldest man in the family was to bless the couple in place of the late father.

As viewers congratulated the newly-wed couple, many queried the boy’s responsibility at his sister’s wedding ceremony.

Some netizens opined that he represented their late father because he was the family’s first son.
