Undefeated Super-Lightweight contender Ernesto “Tito” Mercado (17-0, 16 KOs) returns to the ring on Friday, December 13 to challenge Mexican boxer Antonio Moran (31-7-1, 21 KOs) for the WBO International Super-Lightweight Title at the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, CA.
Named to ESPN’s 25 under 25″ rising boxing stars list, 24-year-old Mercado is part of a boxing family, trained by his father Ernesto and with two other brothers fighting in the amateur ranks. He is promoted by Matchroom Boxing and is part of their year-end event, streaming live worldwide on DAZN, and featuring Diego Pacheco vs. Kevin Lele Sadjo.
The Pomona native is one of boxing’s fastest-rising stars, known for his power, precision, and relentless pressure.

Pre-Thanksgiving Boxing Day and “Gratitude & Glory: Inside the Ring with a Future World Champion” conversation with WBO International Super-Lightweight Title contender and Pomona native Ernesto “Tito” Mercado (17-0, 16 KOs) at G2G Boxing Gym. Tito will be part of a conversation on his rising status and career in the sport of boxing, and the boxing industry, with DAZN’s “The Writer and The Fighter” hosts Chris Mannix (Sports Illustrated) and former World Champion Boxer Sergio Mora.
This event is in partnership with the Pomona Police Department’s Cops and Kids youth program. Boxing Day is a Thanksgiving week activity for kids and their families to learn about boxing from Pomona native and Pomona High School graduate Tito Mercado.
