Renowned Ghanaian music icon, TiC—known in private life as Nana Kweku Okyere Duah—is set to storm Nigeria on March 8, 2025, for the Ghana Independence Day Party in Lagos.

The highly anticipated event will take place at Lounge 38 and promises an unforgettable celebration of Ghanaian music and culture. TiC will be joined by talented Ghanaian artists Nero X, Samuel G, and 1st Born, delivering an electrifying experience for music lovers.

On the turntables, Ghana’s DJ Toyor and Nigeria’s legendary DJ Humility will keep patrons entertained with an exciting mix of Ghanaian and Nigerian hits.

Speaking on the rationale behind the event, TiC revealed that he envisions it becoming an annual tradition to strengthen bilateral ties between Ghana and Nigeria through music.

“Think about it—after all the discussions in Ghana about supporting Nigerian music without reciprocity, we haven’t aggressively pushed our boundaries by organizing Independence Day events there,” he stated.

He emphasized that Nigerians love Ghanaian music, but it is up to Ghanaians to actively push their sound into the Nigerian market. “Just check the number of Ghanaians there and the Nigerians who love our music,” he quizzed.

TiC described this initiative as the beginning of a new era and urged industry stakeholders to come on board to solidify Ghana’s musical presence in Nigeria.

Over the years, TiC has proudly flown Ghana’s flag beyond its borders, making a bold statement with his sound. With this groundbreaking event, he is setting the stage for greater collaborations between the two countries.
