    Mixed reactions have trailed a post of a young lady who recounted an unforgettable encounter she had with thieves.

    Sharing in multiple tweets on X formerly twitter she revealed that three thieves who robbed her of her laptop showed an unexpected level of empathy.

    According to her posts, the incident occurred during her first year at university, while she was walking home alone from school.

    The men stopped her and took her PC, but when she tearfully explained that she had a due assignment, they handed her a USB cord, allowed her transfer the files and even escorted her home safely.

    Her tweets read;

    “Reminds of a time back in 1st year when 3 dudes stole my pc while I was walking alone from school and I cried and told them I had an assignment due one gave me a USB and let me transfer it and even walked me home all while giving me advice about the importance of education. They also let me keep my phone, Thoughtful thieves >>>>>>“

    The lady who described their gesture as ‘thoughtful thieves’, has received similar stories from others in her comment section.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “I can’t even call mine robbery, because they literally took me to a place, collected all my money and I told them I don’t have any money to go home again, they gave me 2k cash to go home”

    “In 100l, thieves tore my net and stole my phone but they dropped my sims. I couldn’t even use the “na the sim pain me pass” line I cried!“

    “Nigerian SARS arrest me and my guys on our way back from IT, searched our phones and saw Binance and crypto stuff in my guy phone, then proceeds to arrest us, drove us to a very far place took 100k from us then gave us 1000 naira for transport back home”
