Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been awarded Male Player of the Year at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards.
The midfield maestro played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s heroics during the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League campaign, despite their elimination in the semi-finals.
His most memorable performance came when he controlled and masterminded Arsenal’s midfield against Real Madrid in both legs of the Champions League.
Partey was also instrumental for Arsenal as they finished second in the Premier League for the second consecutive time.
His brilliance was on display for the Black Stars, as he scored and provided assists in the team’s significant wins against Madagascar and Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
“I attach as much importance to this award as any other I’ve received in my career. I love it, and I appreciate it,” the midfielder said after receiving the award.
He beat Antoine Semenyo and Iñaki Williams to the prestigious award, which recognises him as the overall best player for the nation in the year under review.
Meanwhile, Doris Boaduwaa also won the Female Footballer of the Year accolade following an impressive season.
The event recognised legends who are making immense contributions toward the development of football in the country.
