Antoine Semenyo has described winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for February 2026 as a “brilliant moment” in his career, following a sensational start at Manchester City.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian international joined City from AFC Bournemouth in a £64 million January transfer deal and immediately made his presence felt under manager Pep Guardiola. In five appearances during February, Semenyo scored three goals and provided one assist, helping City maintain momentum in their title campaign.
His strikes against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham FC, and Leeds United were crucial, making him the first City player other than Erling Haaland to win the award since 2021.
Semenyo also joined an elite list of Ghanaian winners, following in the footsteps of Tony Yeboah and Andre Ayew.
Reflecting on his rapid adaptation, he credited his teammates for their support and said the award motivates him to continue helping City achieve their objectives this season.
