King Promise won the 2025 TGMA Artiste of the Year award King Promise won the 2025 TGMA Artiste of the Year award

Fresh off a career-defining win, King Promise isn’t just basking in the moment — he’s already on the move, eyes firmly fixed on the future.

In a candid interview with Graphic Showbiz, the celebrated artist spoke passionately about his journey, his vision for Ghanaian music, and the lessons that have shaped his rise.

“Even before the awards on Saturday, I had been out there working. I just got back home from a tour. I’ve been to Washington, Boston, New York, and other places to keep the work going. I won’t relax, and it won’t stop,” he shared.

True to his word, the Terminator hitmaker has been grinding behind the scenes, even as fans and the industry celebrate his success. But for King Promise, this is only the beginning of a much bigger mission.

“My team and I will keep pushing Ghanaian music to the furthest corners of the world,” he added, a bold statement backed by his track record and growing international presence.

The award, which many see as long overdue, is more than just a plaque for King Promise. It’s a symbol of persistence, proof that resilience pays off — and a message to every dreamer watching from afar.

“This is a big win for me, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Any young person who has a dream should use me as an example of resilience,” he said.

Reflecting on his earlier struggles, he recounted a humbling experience that only fueled his drive:

“In my first year, I had seven nominations and left the venue with nothing at the end of the night. While some people laughed at me, I just worked harder — and today, I am the chosen one.”
