Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, has sent a word of advice to his colleague rappers in the Ghana music industry.

In a post shared on X on August 28, 2025, Medikal noted that artistes should also prioritise themselves and their craft as they do for their fanbase.

Medikal explained that although he loves his fanbase, he has drawn a line between producing music for entertainment and generating money from it.

“As you de think about the fans, think about yourself too, if you no chop, how you go fi feed the fans, I love my fans till death and they know it, I know when to make them dance and when to make them pay attention to deep bars. The goal is to entertain and inspire,” he said.

He further noted that rappers need to commercialise their craft and not be carried away by the hype given to them by their fans.

He added that when creatives focus on hype received from the fanbase without monetising their work, it would affect them.

“If you be rapper for Ghana, wey you no commercialize your craft and let some Alo fans get to your head thinking you got the hardest bars, hunger wey go kill you,” he added.
