Nana Kweku Agyemang, head coach for Vision FC Nana Kweku Agyemang, head coach for Vision FC

Head coach of newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Vision FC, Nana Kweku Agyemang, has issued a warning to Asante Kotoko, asserting that his team is prepared to match whatever Kotoko bring to the table when the two sides meet on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in the matchday 17 fixtures of the GPL at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Asante Kotoko are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak, having won four of their last five matches. They sit sixth on the league table after 16 games. Vision FC, on the other hand, are 11th with 19 points.

Despite the contrasting standings, Agyemang remains confident in his team’s chances against the record GPL champions.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Agyemang emphasized that Vision FC has the technical ability and tactical discipline to compete with Kotoko. He cautioned Asante Kotoko against underestimating his side.

“In terms of technique and tactics, I think Vision FC can be on par with Kotoko. We have very skilled technical players who understand tactics and instructions.

“They are adept at both attacking and defensive transitions. I don’t think Kotoko can underrate us. If they do, it will be at their own peril,” he said.

A win for Vision FC could send them to 8th on the league table whereas a win for Asante Kotoko could send them top of the standings.
