Media personality MzGee has shared candid reflections on the recent visit of American YouTube streamer IShowSpeed to Ghana, raising concerns about coordination, crowd control, and how the country presents its tourism experiences to the world.

Speaking on Gee O’clock, MzGee referenced the viral scenes from the streamer’s stop at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, describing the moment as chaotic and poorly managed.

“What in the name of Christ Jesus happened at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park?” she asked. “There was so much chaos. Everybody trying to touch him. People who did not know anything concerning tourism.”

According to her, the lack of structure and order at such an important national monument took away from what should have been a beautiful cultural moment, especially given the global audience watching via livestream.

“It looked ill-coordinated, and that took away some beauty,” she said.

MzGee stressed that moments like these are critical opportunities for tourism education and national branding, particularly when international influencers with massive global followings are involved.

She, however, singled out Hamamat Montia for praise following her appearance during IShowSpeed’s tour, applauding the calm, well-curated experience she offered.

“Shout out to Hamamat. When I find a boyfriend, I will bring him for that kind of massage… that’s on a lighter note,” MzGee said jokingly.

MzGee also weighed in on the online backlash directed at choreographer Dancegod Lloyd, who was trolled by some social media users for allegedly not doing enough during his interaction with IShowSpeed.

“People were trolling Dancegod Lloyd… saying he couldn’t even pick up the guy or command the moment. People are ridiculous,” she said.

Broadening her commentary, MzGee reflected on what she described as Ghana’s complicated relationship with appreciation and recognition.

“There’s nothing you do for Ghana; Ghana man will appreciate you for maybe… I could be wrong,” she said.

She concluded by noting that her remarks were simply personal observations and reflections on IShowSpeed’s visit and the accompanying jollof rice brouhaha, which also sparked widespread online conversation.

“These are simply tales and thoughts of mine on IShowSpeed’s visit to Ghana and the jollof brouhaha,” she added.
