Ghanaian gospel musician Ceccy Twum has indicated that there is no issue with gospel musicians collaborating with secular singers.

In an interview with GhanaWeb TV’s Takertainment during Piesie Esther’s “Made by Grace” concert, the “Mekomanim” hitmaker insisted that gospel artistes should aim to have a positive impact on secular musicians during a feature, in order to avoid being negatively influenced.

“I see nothing wrong with collaborating with secular musicians. But my advice is that ypou shouldn’t let them overshadow you. You should have an impact on them, don’t let them have an impact on you. As a gospel artiste, you need to win souls for Christ. We have to embrace them in order to continue spreading the gospel of God,” she said.

Ceccy Twum, while speaking to GhanaWeb Entertainment’s Isaac Dadzie, also indicated that gospel musicians should charge before performing at events.

“The Bible says it was given to us for free, and we should give for free, but we pay for the auditorium, we have to buy dresses to look good. So if we don’t charge, we will end up using the money we have to sponsor these events and there will be nothing left.

“People would start saying the anointing on Ceccy Twum is no more. So I have to charge and keep up with what I am doing,” she said.
