Bisa Kdei is a highlife musician
Ghanaian highlife musician Bisa Kdei has opened up about some of the lifestyle changes that come with settling down.
He stated that marriage naturally introduces certain limitations and responsibilities.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on December 4, 2025, the singer explained that marriage requires a different level of understanding, discipline and time management.
“There are so many limitations when you get married. When it comes to posting, not everyone understands you for the things you post. Sometimes it takes time for some women so everything is understanding,” he said.
Bisa Kdei shared that even simple activities such as hanging out with friends have to be approached differently once a person has a family.

“Even if you want to go out with your male friends, you know that you have a family at home so you have to return home early. Time is on everything you do now,” he noted.
He stressed that before choosing to settle down, individuals must carefully consider the lifestyle adjustments that come with marriage.
“Before you think of settling down, you need to consider all these things. You should do this only when you’re ready,” he said.
The award-winning singer further explained that marriage also affects travel decisions, as one can no longer move freely without thinking of their partner and children.
“If you want to travel, you can’t travel and leave the family at home so you have to double up everything so that you go together. Marriage limits time,” he added.
