Prince George Koffie, the coach who guided Swedru All Blacks from the Division One League to the Premier League, has disclosed that his all-attacking philosophy contributed to his success.

He explained that the top-notch finishers on his team made his tactics thrive and helped outsmart opponents.

“I am an attack-oriented and defensively-minded coach. I believe in the mixed build-up. The mixed build-up has to do with the gradual, the manoeuvred, or better still, the elaborate build-up, as well as the immediate or the rapid. That is what I go with. And then when it comes to my attacking play, I always want to go all out. I want to make sure I am as clinical, and my team is as clinical as practicable. So I try to create a lot of chances and make sure I utilise them,” he told GhanaWeb Sports.

Koffie indicated that his knowledge of psychology and the experience he has garnered over the years helped him control egos and foster cohesion in the dressing room.

“With my experience and also my background in sociology and psychology, I’m able to put this together to make sure I manage their egos. Some of these boys can be very egoistic or egocentric. So I make sure I bring that to bear on them. Basically, the game revolves around four pillars: the physical, the technical, the tactical, and, best of all, the psychosocial aspect. So I’m able to make sure they socialise positively,” he added.

Koffie resigned from his role as All Blacks head coach after qualifying the team for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
