The New Patriotic Party (NPP) recently had a secret meeting at Lapaz, according to well-known broadcaster Captain Smart. Captain Smart asked why some NPP members would want to gather at Lapaz during an interview with Onua Maakye, his morning show.

While explaining that former President John Dramani Mahama is doing well at the moment, he cautioned that his administration may be in danger due to the NPP officials who continue to hold important positions in various government agencies. According to Captain Smart, Mahama must dismiss these officials right once because they might undermine his government.

“What makes the NPP want to meet at Lapaz?” inquired Captain Smart. implying that it is questionable that they are still present in some institutions. If left unchecked, he thinks their positions would enable them to act against Mahama’s leadership.

Captain Smart has been outspoken for a while now about the necessity of firing NPP officials who are still employed by Ghana’s government. He specifically mentioned the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) as organizations that are still run by people connected to the NPP.

Known for being frank, Captain Smart has expressed concerns about politics and administration using his position. He feels that Mahama needs to take immediate action to get rid of individuals who are still loyal to the previous government if he hopes to proceed without needless obstacles.

His remarks have sparked public debates, and many people are interested in seeing Mahama’s live on-air response to these issues.
