    The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, has stated his strong desire to lead the party back to power in 2028 once he takes over as National Chairman, according to a report published by Adomonline on Sunday. Chairman Wontumi stated during a party event that his goal of becoming the NPP’s national chairman is to guarantee the party retakes power following the 2024 elections, not for personal benefit. Chairman Wontumi claims that his leadership will give the party fresh vitality and direction, guaranteeing its continued dominance in Ghanaian politics. “I won’t let the NPP continue to oppose for very long. We will reorganize, plan, and regain control. He promised party members that the party will be stronger than before.
