Excitement continues to build around The Luckiest, the lottery-style game that has fast become a household name in Ghana since its debut in 2023.

Organized by GeniusLoci Limited and regulated by the National Lottery Authority (NLA), the initiative has given thousands of Ghanaians the chance to transform their fortunes with prizes that cut across everyday essentials and life-changing cash rewards.

Speaking at the latest event launch held at the NLA office in Accra, organizers once again treated participants to thrilling draws and instant giveaways.

Attendees who purchased tickets ranging from just GHC1 to GHC5,000 walked away with prizes including mobile phones, power banks, and a television set for the day’s grand winner.

This event is part of a build-up to the much-anticipated Season Three finale later this year.

“We have been running this for the past three years and we want to make this year’s grand,” said Dennis Adutwum, CEO of The Luckiest. “This year we are giving as much as 2.5 million Ghana cedis to the Luckiest Ticket winners.”

Launched in 2023 with approval from the NLA through its Caritas platform, The Luckiest has quickly gained traction for its inclusivity and accessibility. The game is open to all Ghanaians 18 years and above, with participation made possible via USSD code *712# or through the official website www.theluckiestafrica.com, which also allows Ghanaians abroad to join in.

Over the years, the competition has introduced different categories of rewards. In 2024, more than 300,000 entries were recorded, with the main “Luckiest Ticket” winner walking away with a 1 million cedi cash prize. Additional categories such as Community and Bonus tickets also saw participants rewarded with appliances like chest freezers, microwave ovens, and televisions, ensuring that benefits reach everyday Ghanaians – from trotro drivers and filling stations to jewelers and even prison communities.

According to organizers, the structure of the competition is designed to create winners at every level. The draw typically runs from July to December with daily bonuses, weekly prizes, and monthly rewards leading up to the finale.

“We’ve targeted everyone in society, in Ghana and across Africa, so that it truly affects the ordinary person,” Mr. Adutwum explained.

The Acting Director of Marketing and Caritas,Kwabena opoku Boakye has urged all Ghanaians to take part in The Luckiest, stressing that participation goes beyond winning.

“Even if you don’t win instantly, you still stand a chance in the grand draw,” he said. “And even if you don’t win at that stage, your contribution is never wasted. The money goes directly into charity and is used for societal development.”

With millions of cedis at stake and countless opportunities to win along the way, The Luckiest continues to live up to its name, turning ordinary tickets into extraordinary fortunes.
