Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has accused Nigerian politician and businessman Ned Nwoko, husband of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, of exhibiting what he described as “alarming wickedness” toward his community.

In a recent statement, Seun Kuti claimed that Nwoko’s actions in his hometown had caused significant distress.
The son of the late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti went on to allege that Nwoko was responsible for the detention of several young men under false pretenses.
“Old people everywhere like Regina Daniels’ husband. Regina married such a man despite the kind of wickedness he has shown his community. He almost killed the king of his village and wanted to take the whole land of the community by force. He was so evil that he imprisoned nine boys for years on false terrorism charges, expressing disbelief that Regina Daniels could remain married to him in the name of love.” He said.
However, Seun Kuti clarified that his criticism was not solely directed at Regina Daniels but also at the socioeconomic conditions that, in his view, influence young women’s choices.
He went further to say that if Nigeria gets better, young girls won’t need to enter such situations.
Below are some of the comments;
“Life na turn by turn last year na Regina Daniels advice us this year na we dey advice her“
“Because a man is rich, doesn’t mean he’s a good man. Know this, and know peace, ladies.“
“Never ever believe what you see on social media. Regina made us believe this man was a good and kind husband. People be going through a lot behind closed doors.”
