Ghanaian urban gospel musician Scott Evans has revealed that his music is not directed at Christians.

According to him, his aim is to use his songs to win people who do not yet know Christ, especially those in the secular world.

In an interview on Hitz FM, the gospel singer was asked whether he believes that performing at secular events helps gospel musicians win souls for Christ, or if he agrees with those who say gospel artistes should only perform at Christian events.

In response, Scott Evans noted that his music is not even meant for people who already know Christ.

“The kind of songs that I do, they are not even for Christians. The aim is to win people to come on the side of Christ,” he explained.

He went on to use an example to make his point more relatable. He said that just as God created the soil and gives people seeds to plant, the results depend on where the seed is planted.

According to him, if someone plants okro seeds on rocky soil, they may still get okro, but in small amounts. However, if they plant the same seeds in good soil, they will get okro in its full potential.

“Now there is a way God has done things, God said He created the soil. He’s giving you the seed. All you need to do is to sow. If you sow the seed of okro on rocky soil, you get okro, but you get okro in small quantities. But if you sow it in good soil, you can get the okra in its full potential,” Scott Evans shared.
