The Celebrity Traitors’ five finalists were revealed after an action-packed penultimate episode which saw a murder in plain sight and a final roundtable slanging match.
After Celia Imrie’s tragic murder at the beginning of the episode, it was Kate Garraway who was the final star to be booted from the castle during the banishing after she was frequently deemed ‘useless’ throughout the series.
Keen to catch one more Traitor before the final, discussions between the contestants got heated with David Olusoga and Kate exchanging blows.
Kate noted that David had faced accusations of being a Traitor before but they had since ‘evaporated’.
David replied: ‘It did. The person who was most insistent on trying to to explore it at the next table was you.’
‘Only because I was trying to bring something useful to the table. It’s my job. I feel like,’ Kate said before David tried to interrupt.

Earlier in the episode Celia Imrie became the Traitors’ final victim as the fan favourite was killed in plain sight by the murderous Alan Carr
She chastised him: ‘I’m just going to finish. I was just the only one that was brave enough to raise it.’
‘It feels like there’s an implication behind when you state a fact. Sometimes, David, I feel like you’re then implying something, and it’s only you, and then you allow everybody to then look back at me and think, why did she do that?’
He defiantly told her: ‘Well, that’s exactly what I’m doing.’ Before patronisingly adding: ‘That’s what we are supposed to be doing. We’re stating a fact because that’s how you have conversations. That’s exactly what I’m doing.’
Claudia then brought discussions to a close and asked them to vote.
While Nick Mohammad voted for Cat Burns, David and Cat went for Kate and Alan and Kate opted for David.
Joe Marler had the deciding vote and he went for Kate sending her home as fans rejoiced on social media.
During her exit speech, she revealed herself to be a faithful telling them: ‘I’ve had a lot of years of being very serious, very sad, and you’ve all allowed me to play the most amazing game, but also you’ve allowed me to play and be silly and have fun.’
‘Every single one of you I’m going to take away a new idea and the start of a new kind of life, really.

‘So thank you very much for all of that. Thank you genuinely. I have and always have been totally myself, a faithful.’
Taking to X fans rejoiced that Kate’s game had finally come to an end as they penned: ‘Kate is gone at last’; ‘The scapegoat is gone!!!!’; ‘Finally Kate is gone’; ‘
‘Kate entirely brought this on herself by bringing up her own name all day’; ‘Hot take: Kate shouldve been the first to go but I’m happy she stayed this long obvi’.
Others congratulated her as they added: ‘Honestly have no idea how Kate made it this far but we love you diva’.
‘Considering Kate was suspected of being a Traitor from almost day 1 and has seemingly been completely clueless throughout its a miracle she’s lasted this long. Well done!’.
As Cat, Alan, Joe, Nick and David relaxed in the castle after the tense discussions, they were then ushered out to the fire pit.
Claudia told them they were the final five finalists and nobody would be getting murdered.
She then asked them to all individually tell the group that ‘I am a faithful’.
Traitor Alan immediately burst out laughing as he tried to repeat the words, which aroused suspicion.
Joe said: ‘It’s just another confirmation of what I’m thinking already about Alan. He can’t even look us in the eyes and say I’m a faithful. If that’s not a red flag, I don’t know what is.’

The former rugby star also correctly fingered Cat as being a Traitor. Speaking to the camera he said: ‘Sorry, traitors, I’m coming for you’

The former rugby star also correctly fingered Cat as being a Traitor.
Speaking to the camera he said: ‘My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game, and then I can try and pull the rug from under their feet at the last minute. Sorry, traitors, I’m coming for you.’
Viewers will find out if Joe can pull off his audacious plan during next Thursday’s Celebrity Traitors final.
Earlier in the episode, it was Celia who became the traitors final victim.
To celebrate finally catching Traitor Jonathan Ross, host Claudia threw them a dinner party in the castle but there was a twist.
Traitor Alan was forced to murder in plain sight during the festivities and after surveying the remaining faithfuls he made his move.
The comedian, 49, made a speech to his fellow players reminiscing about his time in the castle, particularly his friendship with Stephen Fry.
He said: ‘Stephen, he’s just got that brain, and it’s just the quotes and everything he’d say. And, what did he say to me before he went to bed? Parting is such sweet sorrow, Celia.’
The deadly phrase sealed the Calendar Girls star fate as she became the final contestant to be murdered.
As she entered the diary room, she spotted a letter on the chair.
Realising her fate, Celia said: ‘Oh, Lord, this is not a very good sign. Am I dead?’
The letter read: ‘Dear Celia, by order of the traitors, you have been murdered yesterday, the traitors murdered you in plain sight.’

For the mission the remaining six players were led into a laser-filled room which contained the heads of all of the Celebrity Traitors contestants

Looking at Clare Balding’s depiction, Alan noted: ‘Clare looks like Boris Johnson’

The actress hit back: ‘Oh, honestly, just because I was brave enough to get the one traitor out, what a mean one. I love being here.
‘It’s been gorgeous, and I’m devastated. I so wanted to stay till the end, but it’s a game.’
The news of her murder did not go down well among her friends, with former rugby player Joe Marler particularly angry about the dastardly act.
An emotional Joe fumed: ‘I miss her already. My darling Celia is gone. My heart is broken.’
‘It’s just made me want to get the traitors even harder. But I’m sick of this. They are taking out some lovely, lovely people.
‘I’m not having it anymore. I need to get the traitors gone, gone, gone.’

They were told they had to placed on statues at the other end of the room while avoiding hitting the beams of light.
