Cape Coast – In a dual mission of community support and religious fulfillment, the C-Quansah Foundation has distributed food items to over 150 elderly citizens across all 30 electoral areas of Cape Coast South and organized a free eye screening for residents.

Speaking in a telephone interview on GBC Radio Central’s ‘Wɔnfrɛ Yie’ show on Saturday, December 27, 2025, the Foundation’s Operations Officer, Alhaji Issah Jagbesie, explained that the initiative was lawyer Charles Quansah’s way of helping the elderly enjoy the festive season and addressing vision impairments in the community.

“We are providing these food items so that needy elderly people can also feel part of the yuletide season,” he said. He emphasized that the foundation relied on data from local Assembly Members to identify beneficiaries.

According to Alhaji Jagbesie, each beneficiary received a 5kg bag of rice, a tin of tomatoes, a full crate of eggs, and one carton of bottled water. The goal, he noted, was to enable each recipient to prepare at least one nutritious meal to mark the Christmas season. “This is to make them feel included and part of the celebrations,” he stressed.

Regarding the health outreach, Alhaji Jagbesie disclosed that The C-Quansah Foundation, under the leadership of lawyer Charles Quansah and in collaboration with Rapha Eye Clinic, conducted free screenings at Nkwantado (the True Church of Christ) for all Cape Coast South residents with eye conditions.

“The eye is the window to the body, and we are providing comprehensive screening at no cost,” he clarified. “Anyone diagnosed with an ailment or requiring corrective lenses will receive complimentary medication and glasses.”

He revealed that a previous screening exercise at Ntsin served approximately 500 people, and they hoped to match or exceed that number this time. In addition to free screening, participants were also offered free snacks.

In his concluding remarks, the Operations Officer expressed the foundation’s gratitude to the Metropolitan Chief Executive for Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur; the MP for Cape Coast South, Hon. Ricketts Hagan; the foundation’s leadership; and party executives.

He specially commended lawyer Charles Kwesi Quansah for his philanthropic work through the foundation and encouraged him to continue his support for the people of Cape Coast.
